Years 4 and 5 used my PowerPoint and image files to design their own music and dance banners. Working individually at first and then as table groups, the children made large drawings which they then cut out and stuck on sheets of paper the same size as their silk. They then filled in the background before transferring the whole design onto the silk.

The silk was so large that we made special frames to paint the banners on.
